OneCNC Series Updates

This is a history of all OneCNC updates.

You may notice sometimes there can be a jump in version numbers.

This is due to intensive and continual internal testing where we thoroughly test versions before releasing proven functional updates.

OneCNCXR8 Release 62.28

OneCNCXR8 Version Release 62.28 has been released

There were important changes to all versions.

Importing bad models

Bad models sometimes have empty surfaces that can cause sizes of infinity or massive extents settings in OneCNC. OneCNC now attempts to discard those bad surface entities and imports all the valid ones.

DWG DGN Import

This release improves DXF DWG import.

Some users use polylines instead of ordinary geometry when creating parts.

OneCNC previously imported polylines as a series of linear lines..

OneCNCXR8 now imports polylines as arcs and circles.

Polylines are used in CAD for custom line thicknesses or tapered lines.

OneCNCXR8 just applies geometry to the centerline and does not display tapered or thicker lines.

OneCNC has no use for tapered or custom thickness lines in our CAM therefore imports them as wireframe geometry of arcs and circles..

OneCNCXR8 Version Release 62.27

OneCNCXR8 Version Release 62.27 has been released

There were important changes to both Milling and Lathe versions.

In milling versions Express Advantage Professional and Expert there were adjustments to tapered wall pocketing

In Milling Professional and Expert there were adjustments to Tapered wall roughing.

In Lathe Express Professional and Expert versions there were changes to simulation.

In milling versions Express Advantage Professional and Expert there were adjustments to engraving 2D

In milling versions Express Advantage Professional and Expert there were adjustments to engraving 3D

In Lathe Express Professional and Expert there was an adjustment to the groove control

New German language update was added.

In milling versions Express Advantage Professional and Expert there were adjustments to job sheet text which from 62.27 supports unicode for all languages. This development of default fonts is still ongoing but ability is provided for the various languages to select their preferred font manually. In each language a default font is applied but users can then select their favourite font. Care should be taken when selecting the font style because not all windows fonts are suitable for all languages. Selecting an invalid font could possibly not show any text until corrected by selecting a suitable font style on the job sheet settings.
